The Position

Responsibilities:
Clark Construction Group seeks an experienced and talented Human Resources Executive to assume a high level, strategic role reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer. The position will supervise a team of highly competent and experienced HR professionals.

Working in partnership with Clark senior executive management, the executive in this position will provide both creative strategic and tactical leadership to enable the delivery of exceptional human capital services to Clark Associates nationwide. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Lead strategic human capital planning
  • Assist executives and managers in developing and retaining high performance employees and teams
  • Enhance the operation of the internal training and development program through Clark Corporate University
  • Lead and enhance professional experienced employee hiring programs
  • Partner with business unit leaders to fashion and implement innovative human capital management initiatives to support the profitable growth and success of those units

The Human Resources Executive will lead an ongoing analysis of the current and future human capital needs in support of the overall company growth. Assessing the effectiveness and efficiency of the HR policies, processes, and procedures will be vital in supporting the changing needs of the business. Further, this position will provide leadership to HR initiatives and projects that require broad organizational commitment and support.  This position will work cross-functionally to ensure that the right input and solutions are incorporated into all HR initiatives. 


Requirements:

Qualified candidates must possess a four-year degree, twelve or more years of progressive HR management/generalist experience, and a track record of creating and implementing strategic change, innovation, and success in human resources. In addition, candidates must possess the following skills:

  • In depth knowledge and experience in all aspects of human capital management gained within complex and sophisticated environments
  • Extensive experience in training and development
  • Creative intelligence and problem-solving abilities
  • High degree of expertise in handling employee relations matters
  • Professional level talent management/recruiting experience
  • Solid internal consultant skills.  Ability to advise management on handling employee matters on a wide range of HR issues
  • Organizational savvy
  • Ability to achieve results within a corporate environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Confidence and ability to relate to and interact with all levels of management
  • Solid business acumen
  • Ability to learn the business quickly and to partner with line management
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.  Ability to deliver clear, articulate presentations to all levels of associates and management and to draft memorandums that are thoughtful, persuasive, and logically-structured
  • Ability to provide direction to subordinates and motivate them to excel 
  • Ability to develop subordinates and encourage personal/professional growth
  • Strong project management skills 
  • Ability to lead initiatives and implement them successfully within the organization
  • Ability to work in a self-directed manner with a high degree of autonomy
