| Critical Skills for Next Generation Leaders |
Management skills determine how well your organization's objectives, strategies and tactics are implemented. Without question, research shows that those competent in the management of an organization's people are key to its success.
Critical Skills for the Next Generation Leader is comprised of three modules.
Module 1-- Leading from the Inside Out - 1 full day Addresses managers’ perceptions, behaviors and attitudes, and how learning and work style shape how they use their learned management skills. This module emphasizes that only through self-assessment comes a better understanding of how to manage others.
Module 2-- Building Business Partnerships – 1 full day Whether you are an individual contributor or a manager in today’s organizations, issues arise as people interact. To be effective, one needs to manage conflict, communicate effectively and motivate oneself and others.
Module 3--Getting Work Done Through Others – 1 full day As organizations today are required to do more with less, it's essential to understand the key issues and dynamics involved in groups of people, either as a leader or as a member of the group. This module emphasizes how the cornerstone of effective team building is accomplished by influencing others and learning to delegate and empower.
Delivery of Modules
Critical Skills for the Next Generation Leaders can be conducted over a period of three weeks or three months. After each module, participants are encouraged to utilize the lessons from the class in his/her work environment during the time between modules.
Process of Learning & Behavioral Change Learning and behavioral change is a multi-faceted process. The individual participant must be engaged on many levels to understand, assess and ultimately utilize successful management concepts. In Critical Skills for the Next Generation Leaders, we provide a process to close the gap between intellectual understanding and behavioral application.
