A very prominent, high profile organization was greatly impacted by the 9/11 attacks and required a full reorganization to adapt to its increased public persona, influx of contributions and expanded operational responsibilities. Several substantial national programs were introduced and finances quickly expanded from about $ 800 thousand to almost $10 million. The organization interfaces at the highest levels in both the private and public sectors and has received a great deal of media attention at the local and national level. Human Capital Advisors was engaged essentially to reengineer the administrative operations of the organization and to create or enhance the staff for the expanded mission of the organization. This 18-month project included:
- Creating new administrative, HR and financial policies and procedures
- Creating the specifications for a new position, Chief Operating Officer, and conducting a successful search for that person.
- Creating the specifications for the director of new $8 million program and hiring that individual
- Coaching the new Program Director and creating the appropriate management processes
- Providing management training and coaching to a VP, director and new manager.
- Creating an employee performance appraisal system and related compensation plans
- Serving as an ongoing advisor to the President on strategies regarding management of the organization and its people
- Recruiting for several staff positions and short-term contract employees.
