Coaching and training programs for a global not-for-profit

The Client:

A large high profile global nonprofit

The Issue:

The nonprofit had experienced tremendous growth in programmatic work domestically and worldwide.

A Closer Look:

Because of the rapid growth, more pressure was bringing put on all management levels to build their teams, deliver operational or programmatic results, and operate within a demanding culture.

A Solution:

HCA partner worked with internal leadership to develop training programs and coaching designed to meet specific skill and leadership competency requirements. Working closely together, the HCA partner, trainers, and coaches developed a customized approach for professional development from first line managers to C-level executives. A customer survey designed by HCA provided background information on. the needs and feedback from high-level executives filled in more of the nuances. Skills training was delivered in half-day workshops. Executive coaching was provided for leaders who were ready or who had just taken on new levels of responsibilities. A minimum of 6 months executive coaching was provided and generally was extended to a year.

The Bottom Line:

The skills training helped to boost the managerial effectiveness; the executive coaching accelerated the leaders’ abilities to manage through change and lead their employees through the growth and added complexity of their operations and programs.
