The Case Foundation (www.casefoundation.org) was created by Steve Case, AOL founder and former Chairman of Time Warner and his wife Jean (Foundation CEO). The Foundation provides a variety of support to new and existing public charities including strategic direction, funding of operations, direct contributions and management support. The Foundation intends to launch and/or support new and emerging charities as an ongoing strategic objective. There will be a strong interest in charities that bring innovative solutions to accomplish their missions with a strong technology orientation. The Foundation will often provide “seed capital” to fledgling charities and will serve in a capacity similar to a private sector venture capital firm. Presently, in addition to its direct contributions activities, the Foundation is actively involved in the direct support of two other charities: Accelerate Brain Cancer Cure (www.abc2.org) and PlayPumps (www.playpumps.org)
The Foundation and these two charities are co-located along with a number of Case enterprises in Northwest Washington, DC. The two principal entities are at this location. Revolution, LLC is the holding company for Steve Case’s new business enterprises (Revolution Health Care, FlexCars and Revolution Resorts). Ka Po’e Hana, LLC, manages the Case Family office (personal affairs) and provides the financial and administrative support to the non profits.
The Position This newly created position reports directly to John Richardson, the Chief Operating Officer of Ka Po’e Hana, LLC.
